Gujarat is our second home market. Letters are made at Bhayandar and freighted up, and we work with installation crews based in Ahmedabad, Surat and Rajkot rather than sending everyone from Mumbai.

What Gujarat orders differently

Gold, and plenty of it

Jewellery showrooms, textile houses and banquet halls in Gujarat use gold far more than Mumbai does. That makes the difference between real PVD gold and gold-coloured paint or foil commercially important — a jeweller's fascia that turns patchy in the second summer damages the brand it was meant to build.

Script and vernacular lettering

Gujarati and Devanagari letterforms are a large part of the work here, often alongside English. Curved script in metal is harder than block capitals — every curve in the return has to be rolled, not folded — and it is worth checking that whoever quotes you has done it before.

Temple and trust work

Brass plaques, donor boards and foundation stones in solid brass with etched and enamel-filled text. Long-life work where plated brass is a false economy.

Climate note

Inland Gujarat is dry and very hot rather than salty, so SS 304 is fine outdoors. Heat is the real factor: LED drivers run hotter, so we size them with headroom and mount them where air can move around them. Coastal Jamnagar, Porbandar and Bhavnagar need SS 316 or aluminium.
