Mumbai signage is a problem of access more than fabrication. A 20 ft fascia on Linking Road cannot be installed at 2 pm, and a lane in Kalbadevi will not take a hydraulic lift. We plan the fitting before we cut the sheet.

Three things that are different about Mumbai jobs
Installation windows
High streets and malls rarely allow daytime work on a shop front. Most of our Mumbai fascias go up between 10 pm and 6 am, which has to be priced and scheduled from the start, not discovered on the day. Mall units usually need the management's work permit and a contractor pass, and we prepare the drawing set for that.
Access
Wide roads take a hydraulic lift. Older market lanes take nothing wider than a ladder, so a large fascia gets built in sections light enough to be carried up by hand and joined on the wall. Deciding that at survey stage is what keeps the cost sane.
Salt in the air
Anything within a few kilometres of the coast — most of the western suburbs, Worli, Colaba — sees salt-laden air year round. For an exterior sign there we recommend SS 316 rather than SS 304, or aluminium. It costs more once instead of a replacement in three years.

Delivery time to Mumbai
Our workshop at Bhayandar is 25–45 km from most of the city. A standard fascia is ready in seven to ten working days from drawing approval, and installation is normally a single night. Because we are on the same side of the creek, a snag after handover is a short drive, not a courier and a wait.
Common questions
Do you install signage in Mumbai at night?
Yes. Most high street and mall installations happen between 10 pm and 6 am because daytime work is not permitted. Night work is quoted upfront, not added later.
Do you handle BMC or society permissions for a signboard?
We supply the drawings, dimensions and specifications needed for an application, and we build to whatever size is approved. The application itself is filed by the shop owner or occupier.
Which finish lasts longest in Mumbai's coastal weather?
SS 316 for exterior work near the sea, or powder coated aluminium. SS 304 is fine a few kilometres inland. Painted mild steel fails fastest in Mumbai air.
